After watching a popular youtuber's recent Patreon-only video, I was inspired to retry my Logic LUB-SC adapter which I purchased from Sendico on my birthday in 2021.

I am pretty sure the drive I was testing it on was ID 0. My M1 Mac Mini recognized the USB device appropriately but didn't detect the SCSI drive.

Has anyone else played with a USB to SCSI adapter?

Back in the late 90s, after buying an iMac DV, I picked up an Entrega-branded USB-to-SCSI adapter so I could keep using my Zip drive and scanner. To say that the adapter was flaky was an understatement. I could never determine whether it was hardware or driver related (honestly, probably both, as rebooting often got it working for a little while), but I do wonder if there's an important software component required to make those work. A modern Mac may be able to enumerate the USB adapter, but may still require drivers to handle data communication. Maybe try it on a classic Mac, with the drivers, and see if you have better results?

In case you don't have them, it looks like the drivers are still available for download from Logitec's site (Google Translate link):

They list OS 9 and OS X drivers, but they top out at Jaguar -- so trying on your G4 Cube should give you a much better chance of success.
I had no idea — thank you, Colin!
