After consulting with mods and long time users, I've settled on this forum to start a recurring event (monthly based).
I'll be selecting 3 mac games and you must submit a screenshot / picture of your high score. Of course, not all games lend themselves to this friendly competition. After roughly a month, I'll select another trio.

You can only submit 3 scores PER game. We'll have none of hyperfocused spam from one player, discouraging others to participate. Knowing this, what will you do? Do a quick valiant effort as a first submission to set the bar high? Keep practicing silently so you can come in late and shatter everyone else's notion of a good score? Oh, the drama that will unfold if we get into it!

I'll try to select a interesting variety of (mostly arcade-y that don't go on forever) games across multiple eras of mac gaming, concentrating on the 68k era.

Need help running these?
If you're here, chances are slightly higher that you have a real vintage mac capable of extracting and running these games just fine from Mac Garden. However, you might not have such a useful setup, and may want to resort to emulation. That's more than fine!
Here are some good tutorials to get an emulator setup. It's a pain, but it's well worth the effort and you'll be glad for all future usage of old mac games and apps.

Here's Macintosh Librarian's tutorial on the Basilisk II emulator (great for color, Performa-type 68k machines)
Here's Classic Mac Gaming (Gruz)'s tutorial on the mini-vMac emulator (great for black and white, Mac Plus era machine)

Week 1 - nifty EASY to download .DSK volume that's compatible with both Baslisk II and mini-vMac. Just download the attached file

GAME 1 - GLIDER 4.0 (1991) - Recommended emulators: Basilisk II or mini-vMac

GAME 2 - Mac•Man (1986) - Recommended emulators: mini-vMac

And with that, I burn my 1st attempt of 3 in Glider 4.0. I haven't played this game in years, an effort that I'll make sure to beat later!

Not sure if this counts since I don’t have video footage, and did this a while ago, but here’s a picture of 142 on flappy Mac, achieved on my PowerBook 540. If I need to have achieved it since the challenge started, than I can attempt to beat it again.

Also, I really like this idea!

You gotta attempt again!
I'm sure you'll set an uneasy bar up!

Not saying how high or posting an image but I just beat my record again by a lot. Waiting until the 15th of January to post my score since I’ve only got 3 submissions. Will see if I can take it higher until then.

Once you get a good understanding of the physics, you can get some high scores pretty quick. I’d love to see someone try to take me on!

MacMan won't launch for me, gives the following error:
"MacMan will not operate with the RAM Cache on. Please turn it off with the Control Panel and try again"
Not sure what the RAM cache specifically is, nor can I find a reference to it in the memory control panel.
Tried with my PowerBook 145 (system 7.5.3) and my 170 (system 7.1) with the same issue.

Just go the emulator route then, I recommend System 4.2, or 6.0.3 and maybe 6.0.8.
