On my quest to build another money pit that looks ridiculously good I happened across a rare bird for the SE/30...
The Interware VDR-2A *drum roll*

The card itself enables a secondary output over DB15 at a resolution of 640x480 with "Millions of colors" (I stop counting colors if they aren't in a box of crayons).

Using a DB15-HD15(VGA) adapter the SE/30 suddenly becomes a 27" behemoth.

Oooh Interware Fwiend! :D

I have one of these too, in an SE/30 purchase from Buyee - the DIN connector has a few bent pins, but will try giving mine a good go. Did you need any special drivers/extensions to make it work?

Works without drivers, I did chase down an interware suite but it can't detect anything in the slot. (Not that I'd expect much tweaking outside the OS adjustments).

Nice! I've got the VDR-1A version of this card, do you know if there's a way to get it to output 640*480 at 31KHz? Mine refuses to do anything but 35KHz unless I bump up the resolution, it turns out the original Mac monitors can sync to that horizontal frequency which I was previously unaware of.

I am unaware of any way to change the refresh rates unfortunately :(

@Drake
What kind of DB15-HD15 adapter did you use to get this connected to a VGA input? Is it one of the ones with jumpers, if so did the jumper configuration modify the resolution output?
I have the same Interware VDR-2A card and want to connect it to my OSSC.

Interestingly, my comes with a rom Ver1.03-1 where as yours in Ver1.04.

I'm just using the standard Amazon converter without jumpers which auto configures to 640 or (I believe 1024) depending on machine. I don't know if the interware is capable of more 640.
If/when I get a programmer I'm happy to dump the ROM for posterity.
