Hi,

I want to try a MiST system emulator for use with a full MiST Amiga configuration SD disk.

Source code is here : http://sf.net/p/mistemu/

I started out with an MD and AmigaOS 3.1 MC68000 (16 bit) FPGA system.
There's the start of an Apple disk driver for it.

Are you talking about the MiST FPGA system that was originally released around 2013? https://github.com/mist-devel

There's also the MiSTer FPGA system that is the sequel with more capabilities and a lot of active development. There's a lot of current Amiga development on MiSTer. The Wiki is https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_MiSTer/ and some of the hundreds of related repos are here https://github.com/mister-devel

Unless you have a specific reason to buy a MiST, such as someone sellng it to you for an amazing price, I would recommend buying the MiSTer or one of the many clones because it's newer, more capable, actively developed for, and there are so many more things you can do with it.

I'm indeed talking about the MiST system. I know about the MiSTer but I wanted to write an emulator for the MiST itself as I have more latency for it.

The meaning is to bypass the bios/firmware and actively search with machine learning for its bootable binaries (in the first case with a neural net, in the c/drivers/ANN directory, WIP, a hidden Markov model can also be used). Note that I do not have to search the full SD card, I just parse for e.g. the MegaDrive binary which might be 256 kilobytes, sometimes based on the MiST card's ini files.

The meaning is, as I want, to have a cabled SD card reader which should not use a MAKEDEV device on Darwin/Linux/UNIX. I want to accelerate the AmigaOS 3.1 and MegaDrive by using latches and registers of both (MD and Amiga for starters).

Then there's the mount programs in e.g. the mount-deb-wheezy directory, based on the Linux kernel's util-linux, again WIP.
You use these to activate your partitions on the MiST SD card and no mounting necessary.

This is the case in version 0.1.25+ which is around 19.500 lines.
