Interesting, too bad you need a host as your NIC though. But thinking along the lines of something that could have been available in the day here. If the CSII riser and NIC are eliminated, their cubic then becomes available for a custom PCI twin slot riser. TEMPOtrio is now working on Gazelle...

Thinking in terms of TAM/Gazelle and 6360/6400/Alchemy machines. We've got more FW equipped cards working in the problematic TAM of late, so wondering if 100bT or Gigabit external NIC might be an interesting tinkertoy for the boffin crowd?

Back on the main thread of my alternate swing out setup tangent: Lots of great hardware left over for clamping something to something else somewhere. Three position thickness adjustment, the steel's 5mm and threaded rod is about 7.5mm so it's very strong. Me likes leftovers. 😁
