Apple Lisa Mouse A9M0050 - Replacement Shell

So, the Lisa Mouse I ordered from PCBWay finally arrived. The production and shipping process, at least for this is WAY slower than JLCPCB, which is unfortunate because I paid way more for shipping (JLC3DP shipping for this mouse parts usually runs me $1.50 and arrives in about 1.5weeks...

    IIci Soft Power Issues...

Any chance you ever tracked down the issue? I recently replaced all 3 chips in that area with new ones, and there was damage to several pads / traces. Before the machine stopped powering on, it already exhibited this issue, but exactly as you described. Powers on from soft power keyboard...

Performa 640CD DOS Compatible Black Screen in DOS mode

I never got any SIMM to work in it. I just maxed out RAM on the Mac side and have used shared memory. I may revisit at some point and see if maybe throwing an FPM SIMM in there does the trick. I suspect it is either a failed memory chip, or the SIMM slot itself has issues.

Need solution for HDI-45 to DB-15 connectors for video out

OK, the beginning of the repo is up. https://github.com/wottle/HDI-45-Adapters Feel free to check it out and provide feedback. I plan to take photos of the next adapter I assemble and insert them into the assembly instructions in the readme. Also, I'm working with @jcm-1 to get some...

    External case for ESProfile

Nice! Is there a reason you built the external version and put it inside? Doesn't it add complexity of getting 5v USB into the case. That was my whole reason for switching from the Cameo/Aphid to the ESProfile internal version. Does the 2/5 not have an internal parallel connector? I built...

Apple Lisa Mouse A9M0050 - Replacement Shell

I’m not sure. I know my Mac TV mouse, which is a standard platinum mouse painted with the Duplicolor flat black vinyl and carpet paint has stood up to about a year and a half of occasional usage without any signs of wear, even on the flexible cable, which was the part I was most worried about...

Apple Lisa Mouse A9M0050 - Replacement Shell

FYI, looks like transparent is unavailable again until early March (https://jlc3dp.com/blog/temporary-suspension-of-oil-spraying-and-spray-painting-services). Was trying to get an order in for a transparent mouse to go with my upcoming transparent SE/30 case and transparent option is...

Apple Lisa Mouse A9M0050 - Replacement Shell

So, the new top case came in. I ordered it in the JLC Black Resin this time, which they claim is a darker black and I wanted to see if it would be a closer match to the Macintosh TV black color. And I'd say it is a very close match. I may see if I can 3d print a new mouse case for it...

MacEffects Clear SE & SE/30 Cases Now Available!

Placed my order. Couldn't justify the clear Lisa front, but I told myself if the clear SE case came up again, I'd get one. Have a SE/30 reloaded board I want to put in in. Now to find the one with the best looking internals!

    Modifications to 128k logic board

Yeah, I removed the diode completely figuring it was best for measuring. The diode measurement in one direction now shows 0.4V and 0L in the other. I think that likely the expected result, but I have no EE background and I’m not even sure what a diode does :). However, since I have it off...

    Modifications to 128k logic board

The sticker on the flyback shows “AC-058 ZGCT”. And I don’t see any cracking, discoloration, or even dirt on the components. Here are some pictures of the flyback and the diodes I believe you are referring to. Not sure if it was a valid test of if I was doing it right, but I put my...

    Modifications to 128k logic board

Unfortunately, the fast ticking persists after the recap of the analog and logic boards. Here’s a video of the ticking sound. The analog board was remarkably clean and I didn’t see any damaged components. One cap had a little leakage when I pulled it, but no damage to the holes or traces...

Need solution for HDI-45 to DB-15 connectors for video out

OK, printed the cases for the DA-15 and HD-15 versions and still tweaking things to try to ensure the best chance of a solid fit and alignment and to ensure no issues with the insertion / alignment of the pins. But overall they seem to be working great, and are very stable and so I don't think...

    Modifications to 128k logic board

It's more of a ticking sound than the flup sound which I had, I think, on a Mac Plus with the fuse in the cable issue that you documented on one of your videos. I do have the caps for the analog board, which I planned to replace anyway. Just been busy with some other projects, but I'll...

Need solution for HDI-45 to DB-15 connectors for video out

No real objection, other than making sure people that are willing / want to go to the effort to make on their own can still do so. Honestly, you've been so helpful with the Apple /// stuff I've gotten from you, we could probably work out an arrangement, especially if you'd consider maybe...

Need solution for HDI-45 to DB-15 connectors for video out

OK, just returned from a work trip and had a nice little present waiting for me when I got back. Lots of PCBs! I wanted to make sure the diode worked and the rest of the PCB design was functional, so I soldered the 2.0mm spaced pins, added the diode, then added the HD-15 connector. Used...

    External case for ESProfile

I prefer my helper devices to be covered, and recently learned how easy it is to make basic things in TinkerCad. I recently ordered a set of ESProfiles (internal and external), and while the internal is perfect for my needs, I decided I wanted a case for the external one. So I made the...

SCSI graphics card, via Raspberry Pi HDMI

I think that may be why he mentioned v3. v1 used BluePill, v2 used the Pico, could v3 use something like the PiZero and offer video output while still keeping the costs down? Of course, I know nothing about the challenges of porting software written to run on the Pico over to a the Zero, so...

    ProFile Drive Emulator for Lisa?

@Zhinü I got the components to make the cable. However, I have a Lisa 2/10 which doesn't have a built in parallel port. It does have a Parallel power card, but I've never used it. I did try to use the external version with the cable I created, and I was able to get the selector to show up and...

    Managing your collections

I really like this idea. I've never seen that document, but I might go through an capture individual images for each of the line art machines along with the ports. Then tie them to the machines in the system. Only 16 pages of ports and images to process! And unfortunately it looks like it...
