Yep, the hard drive's terminated, the optical's not. If you want to eliminate the HDD, you'll need something like this in its place: IDC50M SCSI Terminator

Yeah, forgot about that, but was aiming the passthru terminator block at general audience in answer to the termination issue @Oelmuvun mentioned. You mentioned doing it, have you double checked that the keying on the crimped connector is properly aligned?
