This is amazing. Was setting up a PC just to run TIP and SpinRite. Think they will let you port SpinRite as well?

Mod: Quadra 660AV 2 MB VRAM Upgrade

That's really cool. Reminds me a lot of the old ram stacking I've seen on the 128K and 512K Macs with memory upgrades. I've never though of uncurling the pins of a SOJ chip to turn into into a DIP chip! That gives me more options in the future :)

Guess could try welding with aceton/nail polish remover. Hard to tell what kind of plastic that is though.

Documentation for DB15 to VGA adapters

Great video as usual @JDW :) Personally for a monitor with 5:4 aspect ratio I use the a HP EliteDisplay E190i. It's uses an IPS panel so there's no comparison for colors and viewing angles to a TN display like the Dell E1715S. The refresh rate range is also pretty good so it tends to be pretty...

Community project? NuBus-to-SPI interface... aiming toward ESP32-based WiFi card

Yeah 3D printing now. Worse comes to worse I can make the bracket thicker at 1.2mm instead of 0.8mm. I could also make a version that allows you to slot or press in a m3 nut. Kinda like not having to buy extra nuts but I guess would have to buy m3 screws anyhow. It's interesting that some cards...

    NuBus and PDS Card Plate

Here's a reference design NuBus and PDS card plate to modify and 3D print. This card shield is used on NuBus and PDS cards of many Macintosh models. The 3D model is based off the dimensions shown in Designing Cards and Drivers for -the Macintosh Family Third Edition. The bracket model has no...

    Fixing cracked ABS plastic

There' is acetone spray but man that would wreck the surface of whatever abs part your spraying. Break cleaner and spray foam gun cleaner is acetone in a spray can if you wanna play around with it anyhow :p Unfortunately there's no magical solution to restoring plastics. You can look at...

    Mac DB15 to VGA

Here's the Mac DB15 to VGA adapter I was working on. It has the same dip switch setting as the Sony MacView and Unimac 82D. Unlike the other two adapters this one uses two through hole connectors and is roughly 8mm longer. I usually wait to post the files on github until I fully test what I...
