SHADOW GANGS ZERO - Retro-style ninja action game for Neo Geo, Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, and Dreamcast !

That looks great! The environment art/backgrounds remind me of the colour palette of 'Beneath a Steel Sky'

    SMC ROM Simm programming

James - have you tried this for the programmer? https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/minipro Ben Eater (https://www.youtube.com/beneater) uses the TL866 with his Mac via terminal and this program, should work on the T48 as the github code states: Experimental support for Xgecu T48 programmer

    SIMCheck II Exploration

A TL866 should do the trick quite nicely and they're not pricey, either.

    Random eBay pickups

Couldn't resist picking up one of these for just £9! I recently got an InWin case I've been after for 24 years, courtesy of @Stinkerton18 so I have the idea to do the build I had before project Middlesex and what better place to start? Project Letchworth is a go, too! Of course this was...

    Last finds of August 2024

I'd buy the one from FG, but shipping it might be out of the question for them! After an IPX, an Ultra 5 and...a monitor.

    SIMCheck II Exploration

Those long dip20's may very well be SRAM as my original SIMCHECK I used two SRAM chips for main system memory. Either that or 20V8 GAL chips. I bet the retro chip tester dould identify them. Also looks like the SOIC packages next to the CPU are 74 Series logic, 74xx245 or similar

Question(s) with my first brand used SE/30, hopefully a restoration story...

Sounds like we need to get @techknight onto this thread seeing as he's the person with all the CRT knowledge here!

Maxintosh II What is this resistor for?

It is, i can see a sea of PAL's under the NUBUS slots.

Maxintosh II What is this resistor for?

As in it uses PAL's for the Nubus logic rather than dedicated ASICs - meaning, it can be potentially reverse engineered ;)

    Steelseries Rival 310 repair

A rather odd thing happened between 2023 and 2024 - before Christmas, the mouse I used at work, a Steelseries Rival 310 worked just fine. After Christmas, in the new year when I came back to work, the mouse had stopped working except for the button click. This was very odd, nothing in the...

    Simple garden table refurbishment

We purchased a 20 year old ex-pub bench from a couple that lived around the corner, shortly after we moved in. Despite being 20 years old, it was in fairly good condition. However, the elements started to take its toll over the last year or so, what with it being the wettest year ever...

Dell R520 - The expansion continues...

I came across a Juniper EX2200 although saw some comments that the CPU was slow, i'll have a look at the range to see what's available...also being that i work for an MSP it's entirely possible thatI might end up finding a suitable switch bound for e-waste. The NAS VM was binned off - getting...

Dell R520 - The expansion continues...

Update time! I ended up indeed getting some Mellanox ConnectX-3's from eBay - not bad for about £19 each. One in the R520, one in my desktop. A single 5M DAC from FS links the two together. I created a test iSCSI share that ran solely over the Mellanox on the R520 (2TB) using the primary RAID0...
