Yup - I think you saw the other thread where I inherited two other Indigos - I'm hoping I can come up with one good one! I will have to pull apart one of the power supplies and see if I can come up with a good list of caps to order, and see if any of the other components look iffy.

I inherited these from @Woodengamer but have yet to dig in. I'm hoping one of these might be a suitable organ donor for a R4K Indigo I have with a flakey power supply. Would gladly trade them all for a working Octane; I decided that's the one SGI machine I really want. Maybe someday :)

Wow - that looks nicer than I would expect. Would not have considered wood fiber filament before, but now... Would/could you share the STL for that guy? It would look good next to my Tiny Mac! :)

How can we make our order so as to get the $7 shipping vs the $23 shipping? I didn't see a way to do that in the cart. I'd actually like to buy two kits.

This is just my opinion, but I think you can be OK if you are missing just one. I'd do it if it were one of my drives :)

Is the 128GB limit for all partitions, or just the boot partition? I thought it was just the boot partition, but I'm prepared to be wrong :)

With more examination, it seems that when the power is plugged in - or there's charge in the battery - the CPU heats up enough to start the fan, even though the machine is otherwise dead. I will probably pull the logic board to see if I can find any obvious failed components, etc.

I've got a couple/three Macbook Pros and Macbook Airs from a local charter school that "don't work", and I offered to give it a shot to see if I can repair. The common symptom is that none of them will show any signs of powering up, even after SMC reset, disconnecting/reconnecting the battery...

We went through the first batch of SE machines today. Four went into the retail store at $75 each. None are perfect; all boot, but either had no SCSI drive to begin with, or the failed one was romoved, maybe the floppies need clean/lube. Nothing too serious. There were also a couple of battery...

It will be a bit before these are triaged and ready for sale. I'll try and update here, or they may also show up on the FGTC online store. You can find that at Freegeektwincities.org.
