    A takky Mac…..

It'd be worth trying 2, 4, 5, 8 - which is 832×624 = the highest resolution the '630 on-board video supports. See if your panel will sync on that.

Hate to burst the bubble... but I believe you have one of these: ...and if so, the answer is on the other side: 3, 4, 5, 8 = 640x480 I'm afraid.

Are you looking for ADB cables? I have a few 3rd party ones - you can have for postage:

    A takky Mac…..

Considering there's a good chance anyone considering doing this will likely be doing so due to a battery-bombed logic board... they should be able to harvest the ADB and any other hard to find connectors off that damaged board? 🤔 Further, I believe said ADB connectors are the pinout / spacing...

AST Research Mac86 DOS Compatibility Card Surprise

    Ah ha... there's a reference to the Mac86 here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac286

AST Research Mac86 DOS Compatibility Card Surprise

Wow... neat! That (37 pin?) connector will be for a 5 1/4" floppy. Probably the same drive Apple made for the NuBUS card that allowed you to read/write "IBM" and I believe CP/M formatted floppies. There is some driver s/w around for the slightly more common AST NuBUS DOS cards, but NO idea...

Sure. Roger mentions 2 x 4 in his listing, so may be worth dropping him a mail to see if he's expecting them back in stock?

    A takky Mac…..

ahh... so... what about getting the Dremel out and making 'tabs' by dremelling-off (is that a word?) the excess either side?

BTW... not in NL, but I have purchased several variations from this gentleman : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265409701541 He does show 'lugged' 50-way in the listing. Also has an option for 8-way, but those are out of stock. Fun fact... his name is "Roger Moore" - :) Super nice guy!

    A takky Mac…..

Not super pretty/elegant... but what about using a 16-way and removing the 'outer' 4 pins on either end? The 8way (2x4) 'key' should still work. Just a thought.

I don't have a caliper/micrometer, but perhaps these are better than nothing?

    A takky Mac…..

I was thinking along similar lines... but IMO some contrast is in order. Rather than clear on clear... what about black/smoke acrylic for the chassis?

    A takky Mac…..

Way cool!! It sounds like you have everything covered, happy to assist if there's anything you find you need (donor bits, etc.).

    A takky Mac…..

Ooo... didn't mean to force your hand or anything, also didn't want to pressure you, just simply trying to convey it's such a cool project, it would be a shame for it to be destined to one-off-ness... of course, that *would* make it all the more exclusive, and *even more desirable*! 😄

    A takky Mac…..

We should not forget that the weight of what is being supported is far less than a CRT, analog board, PSU, etc. Also, rigidity can be increased with internal "ribs", etc. My reason for mentioning was more accessibility - esp. if @-SE40- does not intend to produce / sell these... oh, and...

    A takky Mac…..

A thought... what about moulding it 'flat', and then using heat to shape it over a real Mac tube?
  19. M

    A takky Mac…..

...and... I do have a 3D printer, so it'd be interesting to see if your 'chassis' could be modelled up so that it could be printed - perhaps in sections / individual panels?

    A takky Mac…..

Oh, I don't plan on e-wasting them... but I don't have the energy (or proper equipment) to do a re-loaded 'board build. I would be up for doing something like this in one though!
