Using the Sun to restore a yellow Macintosh ☀️

I tried myself different techniques and the one I like the most is using diluted peroxide cream, apply it WITHOUT wrapping, and then re-apply a fresh coat every 15-20 minutes. With this I got quick and nice results. Of course, I didn't invent this... I saw it in a video:

    I pimped my RASCSI

Fitted the OLED and a shutdown button. I had the idea of trying to develop a user interface, with just one button, to do basic things as mount images and shutdown... But I'm too lazy and this will take some time... Maybe this can give some ideas to @PotatoFi ;)

    External LED for the RASCSI

Hello, a quick question, maybe for @landogriffin. The external LED needs a resistor or it already has one in the board?

    Apple 1 Clone, Build log

Some advances with the keyboard... It works! Now the challenge would be to find appropriate Key Caps.

    Efficient web-based classic Mac emulator

Thanks. Actually what I wanted is to “steal” some games of your default setup 😅 I’ll see if I can install StuffIT so I can compress some folders and export.

The Adventures of a Timid Tinkerer aka LC475 upgrades

I’m not sure, but the false boot could be related to having multiple bootable disks. At least that’s the conclusion I got with the RASCSI. And the long delay I’d say is normal with 128MB of RAM.

The Adventures of a Timid Tinkerer aka LC475 upgrades

I get this sometimes with the RASCSI, and I'm pretty sure also with the BlueSCSI.

    Efficient web-based classic Mac emulator

Hello, This is insanely great. I have an issue, though... When I try to upload something to my MacBook (i.e. a game I want to install in a real classic Mac) I just get "document" files. Is there a trick for not losing the file type info? Edit: I have also the same problem when trying to move...

Support for PPP in The Old Net WiFi modem

It seems to be an early version, and only reliable at low speeds such as 9600 bps. I had similar limitations when trying SLIP with a Raspberry (using direct serial connection).

    Apple 1 Clone, Build log

So, next step is to try to build a matching keyboard, trying to mimic a Datanetics ASCII keyboard. For now I placed the components and made the cable. For the switches I have decided to try with ALPS switches, because have a flat bottom, although this requires some drilling to fit the pads...

    PowerBook 1xx Series Battery Case

That’s my plan… how long could stand the battery? Was the battery level indicator working?

    PowerBook 1xx Series Battery Case

Ok. I get that, thanks. But, besides the “mechanical” aspects, it should work,, right? (electrically speaking, I mean)

    PowerBook 1xx Series Battery Case

Hello, As I'm a lazy person, I was planning to put this inside the case: This is AA-size batteries, but I don't really need the laptop to run much time on battery, it's just for the fun. Is this a bad idea? EDIT: I plan to add the thermal fuses too.

Upgrading SE with SE/30 Logic Board... Doesn't Fit

Frankly speaking, I was totally convinced that the chassis of the SE and the SE/30 was the same... always learning new things...

    Putting a 40MHz 68040 in a Quadra 660AV

I’d say that 32MHz is the limit

    Putting a 40MHz 68040 in a Quadra 660AV

Changing only the CPU wouldn’t affect to the speed, as it would keep running at 25MHz. You’d have to overclock the board. Some info here: https://lowendmac.com/2014/overclocking-the-quadra-av-models/

Mac IIci rebooting over and over automatically

If you check the schematics... You can see that Pin 2 of UE13, goes to the positive side of C12, and to the resistors R44 and R43, that most likely are in the backside of the PCB and are connected to the pad you marked as "B", so, maybe this can help you to interpret the connections, but in...
