    Xserve G5 Power Supply Recap

Oh. Must have missed that. Your sheet definitely helped. How did you get the silicone off without melting the caps? That's the worst

SE/30 was working one moment, then it wasn't

    "Spicy O'clock" project has started

Yeah, that member was me. Something that may change factors, is the person I made these for is using a fan directly attached to the heatsink. I can't imagine the heatsink would stay that hot, maybe something you could look into? I don't have any ASA or ABS as I generally don't print that, but I...

[AmigaOfRochester] Services we offer (US Based)

Would not be the first one I've done. I replace parts based on the original spec, not just random ones so it'd be pretty much 1:1. Send me a request on my website https://amigaofrochester.com or just email me amigaofrochester gmail - send some photos.

Solicitation to be considered for the TinkerDifferent Board of Directors

Good day. Why should you elect me? I'd love to have a better reason than my love for the community. I have resurrected and restored an uncountable number of apple and Amiga computers. I've worked to help encourage others to learn and do things for themselves. Some personal information about me...

Have you tried the mouse only? Does that work? Don't use keyboard just connect directly to the board. Let me know if that works.

SE/30 was working one moment, then it wasn't

c7 is definitely not leaking, that's a new cap. That's flux. Like I said, an okay recap not great. I would have exposed those traces and covered with something. I don't see any clearly broken traces, but that'd involve using a meter to check traces.

SE/30 was working one moment, then it wasn't

Well if its working now, it is more likely it was a bad connection perhaps due to heat expansion. I'd check the analog board, make sure theres no cracked joints. The recap looks okay, not great but unlikely your issue. Looks like someone went over the various chips already. I'd try to reproduce...

The case of two Mac TVs

I had two Mac TV's sent over to me recently. One had the audio jfet completely destroyed, so we replaced it. We found after this, the left audio was very broken. It worked occasionally but never reliably. Finally found a bad trace and restored audio! Both boards had bad Sony sbx1637s, so we...

    Macintosh Classic II EGRET Surgery

Recently a Classic II came in for an audio issue. We sorted out the audio issue and were addressing the rest of the board. We found the EGRET chip needed some clean up. We removed the chip and found that many of the legs were very weak due to corrosion from capacitor leakage. We went ahead and...

    Color Classic Crash Chimes

I am wondering if the transformer has bad joints or something. I had this happen with a classic when the transformer was overamping.
