Getting a Rage128 working correctly in a Powertower 225 has been a huge pain. most 3D games freeze the system within minutes of play. I read a bit about them, apparently they're a pain, I only ever got it working in my beige G3. April first, gonna shelf that for another few months, time to work out the BlueSCSI kinks with the Quadra 605. Marchintosh never truly ends.
That's interesting, I had the exact same problem with my Power Mac 6500/300! Freezing within minutes of play of basically all hardware accelerated games, regardless of it was RAVE or OpenGL.

Even though I already have a bunch of projects in various stages after seeing this YouTube video by Kevin Noki on a modernized take on the original Apple ADB mouse I felt compelled to build one! I also built his aesthetically pleasing USB to ADB converter (based on QuokkADB by Rabbit Hole Computing) which was the harder part!) #MARCHintosh!

After triple checking the wiring, it works! I got impatient tonight wanting to test so that LED wiring/resistor will have to be reworked but yay!

Some parts I used (more specific than what's in the creator's links):

Original Bamboo lab Makerworld MH002 3D Printed Wireless Mouse Model Components DIY Creative Models-Compatible with Bambulab P1P/P1S,A1/A1 Mini,X1/X1C/X1E 3D Printers-Prints NOT Included

Polymaker Matte PLA Filament Muted White 1.75mm 1kg 3D Printing Filament

SUNLU 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm, 1kg Spool, Transparent PLA

uxcell 4pcs S-Video PCB Mount 4 Pin Mini Din Socket Video Connector Black

HiLetgo 10pcs 4 Channels IIC I2C Logic Level Converter Bi-Directional 3.3V-5V Shifter Module for Arduino

E-outstanding Pack 10 AF 180-13.7 Degree USB Type A Standard Port Female Solder Jacks Connector PCB Socket

20 Pcs Micro USB Type B Male 5-Pin Jack Port Solder Connector USB Connectors Straight Solder Repair Replacement Adapter

100 Pcs Led Diodes, YIWANSON Mini 3mm Clear Light Emitting Diode Assortment Micro Red Green Blue Yellow White

BOJACK 50 Values 1350 Pcs Resistor Kit 0 Ohm-5.6M Ohm with 1% 1/4W Metal Film Resistors Assortment

On the LED this page was helpful in figuring out a good resistor value for the LED:
(I went with 68 Ohms)
I have been looking for a project like this. I finally got the parts and soldered one up, and the LED displays correctly, and it works great with a mouse. But anytime I try to plug in a keyboard, it either does nothing or freezes up the mac. Hotplugging a mouse on the USB side works fine (don't hotplug the ADB side ever). I thought maybe the D+ and D- were swapped so I swapped them... then I get nothing. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with mine when using with my Performa 575, USB keyboard didn't work when a USB mouse would. Tested with the Bamboo lab MH002 3D Printed Wireless Mouse, a Raspberry Pi USB Mouse, and a a Raspberry Pi USB Keyboard.

Odd thing, when I test with an original LC everything works... Not sure what to make of that but since I mainly intend to use it with the Bamboo lab MH002 3D Printed Wireless Mouse I haven't looked into it further. I did post a comment about its on the Makerworld page for the USB2ADB Converter DIY

I def don't think D+ and D- would be the issue, if they were swapped it wouldn't break differently for a USB mouse vs. a USB keyboard, they use D+ and D- the same way as understand it.
