"Platinum" PLA for Macs and Apple ][s

I want to fill the "holes" in the sides my PB 500s without old batteries so decided to see how this PowerBook 500 Battery Cover would print using these new filaments.

Here's an original battery cover from a PB520c next to a print of the above model with the light part being the 100 filament and the larger darker park 500 filament:

The 100 filament again looks like a good match but the 500 seems a bit dark.

Here's the two battery covers on top of a 540c and 190cs (same plastics color as the 5300 series):

The 500 color seems to me to be closer to the 190/5300 case plastics color. I should likely revisit this during daylight hours... (these pictures have glare from overhead lights).

The 500 series uses three shades of gray plastic!?

Just noticed that the hinge covers on the 500 series seem to be a darker gray then the LCP top cover which is darker than than the keyboard /internal plastics which looks like a match with the 500 filament:

...or maybe it was not different originally and my PB 540c plastic parts have just had color changes over time that don't match?

Interesting. I matched the color to a PB that several people confirmed for me was the correct one to match to. In looking through my collection, I can't find which machine it is, though. (That's right. I literally do not know which unit I matched to.) I took a battery cover off the machine, sent it to Polar Filament, and had them color match to the inside of the battery cover to avoid any yellowing.

Hmmm....
