Did a little photo shoot with the the happy couple. That mini screen is an ipad2 screen with VGA/HDMI driver board; I am still working on the CNC shell, it is held together with tape and propped up with a water bottle (look at the bottom). So sexy Have a look at my guts Piggy back ride...

Mother and child meet for the first time! I drove down to Iowa to pickup this $99 Powermac G3. Quick inspection shows it has a SCSI card, SCSI drive and IDE drive. More details will come when I have time to explore it. For now, it will nestle the little one (NUC hackintosh). The...

    May 2024 finds

Passed on this Free Geek Bondi-Blue iMac set for $120. Heading down to Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Friday 5/3 to pickup a B&W G3 tower so I have a mother for my baby. That will complete my set of 'one of each kind' of rounded Powermac towers. I had to 3D print an opening tool for the tiny pull ring.

Whats the most useful thing you've 3d printed?

Does anyone have a photo of the bottom of a PowerMac G3 Blue and White? My 3D model is based on a graphite/sawtooth, so I have no idea what the bottom really looks like. If I can make a computer this small, why can't Apple (M4 MacPro, come on!)? Even enough room for a spare 2.5 drive. I...

    2011 iMac service door

I picked up 21 computers from a garage clearing ad on craiglist last fall. 19 of the 21 were iMacs (2009-2011 21/24/27inch). Most had the screens removed, hard drives missing, no ram, a couple pieces of cover glass, most broken. After going through most of them for viability, I turned a few...

IDE/PATA to SATA for iMac G3 rev a

Picky as hell is correct. I read somewhere else that you should only use the red boards vs the green ones. Verify your master slave configuration. It may not be possible to change your master slave on the cdrom (likely your 2nd device), so you may want to consider a 2nd board and swap out the...

G4 Power Supply Swap-Adapter Cable Has The Wrong Connector From ATX PS to Adapter Cable

If you got a bong, it should be good. What video card are you using, and what type of display? Are you using the DVI port or the ADC port? If using an ADC monitor, I don't think it will not work, as you don't have any 28v power from the PSU.
