It may be that it requires use of the correct enabler file. In which case, I wonder if someone takes a PPC version of 7.1.2, adds the enabler for a Quadra 630 or Performa 63x machine, then boots said Q630, if it'll identify itself as 7.1.2p.

Got an Apple M1212 monitor that I use with both my C650 and my IIci. Other than the Mac SE's built-in monitor, it's the only CRT we have today.

Been dealing with the same issue on my IIci... Alas, replacing the chip doesn't seem to have done anything to solve it. Said machine has been recapped twice. Once by a previous owner, and just recently by a friend of mine who's diagnosing the issue on it and another friend's IIci.

Interesting. Might explain why the MP-F75W I have installed in an A9M0106 case doesn't eject disks, either via the button or via the Macintosh finder when connected to a Mac.

Yep. Letting a friend of mine work on the IIci, since he has the soldering tools necessary to do whatever is necessary to get it fixed. The IIgs needs some drives, a memory expansion card, and a monitor to be complete.

Picked up a RasterOps 8/24XLi video card off the 'bay for $58.50, plus ship and tax. Have it installed in the C650 for now, even though that machine does 16 bit color natively. Eventually, it'll go into the IIci, once that computer's Nubus slots are functional again. Next weekend, probably...

@ScutBoy Notified a friend of mine who lives in St. Paul. He may drop by to buy one of the SE machines. Has been wanting one for a few months, once he saw a photo I sent of mine. Apparently, one of his family members had one for a few years, but got rid of it instead of passing it onto him.

Most of you have already seen this, over at the 68kMLA forums. One of the SE/30s from my September 2012 Conquest. Tadiran that decided to Maxellify itself and blow its guts out. Yes, the holder was loose, as seen in the attached potatocam image below.

Chip-wise, the later Apple 5.25 disk controller card is identical to the older 650-X104 disk ][ controller card. Only difference is the fact that the "DRIVE 1/2" headers are tied into the soldered-on ribbon cable with the DB-19 connector.

The IIgs upgrade kit was offered through at least 1989, btw. Maybe longer, but, there was less demand for it after the ROM 3 IIgs board came out, since an upgrade kit machine didn't have the upgraded memory, nor the upgraded ROMs. Also, the upgrade kit did not come with a memory expansion...

^Most likely. Also, all of the 0173-A boards I've seen have had the //e connectors preinstalled, so they were the universal IIgs boards that could be used either in an actual IIgs or in the upgrade kit for the //e.
