My little guide on RGBTOHDMI installed on Classic, Plus, etc.

I found one of those in my SE, but it's inline with the analog board wiring harness instead of mounted on a PCB with passthrough connectors: Also found this thing in my Classic that serves a similar purpose: I've been wanting to build an RGB2HDMI for awhile now to try these out, but I...

I just contacted them through their main customer support email...got a ticket number automatically assigned, etc. If you have any more "direct" contact info, please let me know!

Well, I contacted Ergotron...we'll see where that goes. I did set my Classic on the stand, and the foot pattern is the same: So, the "conversion" kit is likely just a different mounting plate or riser that allows the Classic's bottom air vent to breath, along with maybe a different retention...

Hey, it says "Lifetime Warranty" right here in the instruction manual ;). Wonder what they would say if I needed warranty service? I guess they'd probably point out that I never mailed in the warranty registration card that I have here 😆

Showed my dad this thread and he was like "I have one of those "$99" Kensington slidaway keyboard stands...no box though, so probably only worth $98.99, lol. You want it?". So he's shipping that to me. Anyone know where I might find the MacTilt conversion for the Mac Classic? Or maybe...

    MacTilt

Only kinda related to the MacTilt, but I found this with it in the basement too: It's a monitor stand for the IIgs and IIc with space for two 3.5" drives underneath when used with a IIgs. Apparently there were removable angled risers for it to allow putting a IIc under it too...not sure how...

So I took this thing out and played with it this morning. It's definitely minty-fresh-unused-new-in-box: Full forward and backward tilt: The verdict? I actually kind of like it, and would definitely want one if I was using a compact mac all day. It feels like you're putting a lot...

I'll try to find time to take it out and assemble it. Literally forgot I had it. I do know that it probably makes my SE too tall to fit in its current home, and I'm not going to put it in a more prominent place ontop of that sketchy-looking thing with cats running around 😆 I was wondering the...

Looks like they have another one in the background. That picture just doesn't give me the warm-n-fuzzies 😬

Was looking for something in the basement today and forgot I had this. Anyone used one before? Is it stable or is it as precarious as pictures make it look? Suppose I should put it under my SE and find out :)

    Show me your gardens

I built this in our backyard shortly after moving into our house a few years ago. The tall fence keeps the deer out, and I've since added chicken wire around the base to keep smaller critters out. Used the cap stones from an old retaining wall we had just replaced around the edge, and then some...

problem with MicroMac accelerator in SE

So the FPU arrived, I installed it, reassembled the machine, and fired it up. It was...flaky. Random, inconsistent instruction and bus errors, etc. Finally narrowed it down the 16MB of RAM I'd replaced the original 4MB on the accelerator with. I put the original four 1MB SIMMs back in, and...

problem with MicroMac accelerator in SE

I loaded this thing up with 16MB of RAM and was about to put the machine back together for some benchmarks when that big empty FPU socket was staring at me. So, I ordered a 68882 off ebay...ETA March 8th-14th. I guess it's sat on my shelf for a year...I can wait a week or two more to play with...

problem with MicroMac accelerator in SE

Should I dump the ROM from this accelerator? The EPROM is an Atmel AT27C512R, which is apparently supported by my programmer: http://www.autoelectric.cn/MiniPro/TL866II_List.txt I've only used my programmer for writing EPROMs for some breadboard projects and don't have a lot of experience...

problem with MicroMac accelerator in SE

All of the other data lines were organized by octet and accounted for (I toned-out each one): SIMM 1: D0-D7 SIMM 2: D8-D15 SIMM 3: D16 -D23 SIMM 4: D24-D31 The only two data lines that didn't have continuity to a pin on the CPU were the two I mentioned before, and I was able to visually follow...
