Quite a huge fan of not only Apple, NeXT, Steve Jobs but also Clarke's Space Odyssey and HAL but I don't remember there being any reference back to the Cube design as a result. I'm probably simply just not remembering since we're talking 30 years here and I seem to forgot a lot of good...
It's been a week or so, time to fire the Kanga up and try and finish this Photoshop project I've been working on.... the Bryce render finished after only 19 hours lol
Early AM Bryce rendering time on the PowerBook Kanga! Correct me if I’m wrong in that we tend take today’s available processing speeds completely for granted...
So during my post CF install software installations and testing, I’ve started to encounter a serious issue and I’m not sure if it’s software related, hardware conflict related or what’s going on so I figured I would ask here.
Does anyone here have and use a QuickTake 100/150 with a PowerBook...
Now that the Kanga has been successfully setup with its 8GB CF card, I’m forced down the path of reinstalling all the important software again. This will surely take all day... but it’s a beautiful day to do it!
Don’t forget to call me on the QuickTake help line, let’s get those photos...
One more item from the list of experiments or things I wanted to try was having actual photographs of pictures taken with the QuickTakes printed from one of the photo print houses online. A small set arrived Friday evening including my latest panorama as a 4x12" metallic print. Feel like that...
I have a Thunderbolt card in my Ryzen system, so that I can attach external GPUs and add it in my render loop. If you know anything about AMD and Thunderbolt it’s that they don’t work together or not supported because it’s an Intel technology so they want to keep it to Intel?
Either way, a...
Both 1400c and now Kanga G3 finally updated with modern CF cards!
Really wanted to use the mSATA SSD to ATA adapter but the Kanga simply wasn’t having it. Thankfully the spare CF adapter and card I had did the trick.
QuickTakes hidden behind the beasts..
Do you have any Macs with OS 8-9 on them and a floppy drive or a PowerBook with PCMCIA slots? That's how I pull my images off the 1400 and Kanga then transfer/upload to a PCMCIA CF card adapter on the Mac side then to a USB CF card reader on the PC.
FlashPath floppy or ATA PCMCIA smart media...
Yeah, I found it kind of hard to believe myself since I've taken almost 500 pictures using these cameras with a ton being duds. Cool to hear someone actually used it to make badges with! I had read Magic Lantern's Ideas for the QuickTake 100 in their book here and that was one of the suggested...
My first ever panoramic image using the QuickTake 150. That $20 Kaidan Tripod head paid off and I got in just the right amount of light today to get a really great capture of 15 vertical images stitched together. Felt the images turned out so well that I didn't want to post edit them in...
