    BlueSCSI v2 - DaynaPORT WiFi!

Hi James, I also had the BlueSCSI v2 with Wifi working on my Portable (I have video and photos), but since my last video testing the sound issues, I’m struggling to boot my machine. I think I’m going to have to get that Androda battery replacer as you suggested.

Macintosh Portable: "pop" noise every 10s from Speaker & Headphones

Hi James. I did some testing today, and was able to verify some of your findings. I’ve posted a YouTube video here: Please have a look at it, although it’s not nearly as technical as everything listed here. It seems to me that the posting about the audio circuitry going to sleep does have...

580 Logic Board in Color Classic

Hello everyone, Someone in my area is selling an LC630, but it has been modded with a 580 Logic board. There's also a Color Classic for sale, and I was thinking of picking it up as well. I've read that the 575 board fits in the CC for the Mystic (I have one), but the 580 Logic Board is a...

Macintosh Portable: "pop" noise every 10s from Speaker & Headphones

Another thought, a friend of mine has built a small circuit board that reduces the "hum" from older pinball games. As a musician, I often deal with speakers and "ground loops" where a 60hz hum is anywhere from barely noticeable to extremely obnoxious. Sometimes, by changing the location of the...

Macintosh Portable: "pop" noise every 10s from Speaker & Headphones

I just watched some of the video, and my experience has been that excess noise or whining comes from the LCD backlight, but I have NOT listened through headphones. I'll have to take a listen to that output, and I can also record the output and see if there's any pops or clicks happening...

    "Spicy O'clock" project has started

Hey, just wanted to send shoutouts to @Kay K.M.Mods , @Drake @jcm-1 and @mrfahrenheit. I had Drake install OS Cons on my 575 board, Joe installed the Spicy and I’m running the 60ns VRAM. I have a heat sink and fan, running steady at 44 Mhz. Apple IIe card installed, Total Replay, BlueSCSI...

    Apple IIe Card: Q&A

Is it possible to put the 575 drive in the CC housing, and is there a benefit if you could?

    Apple IIe Card: Q&A

It would be nice if the Spicy overclocking didn’t have any effect on Floppy issues. In a previous post, you mentioned a difference between the CC and 575 floppy drives. When building a Mystic, would it be better to also transplant the 575 floppy in there as well? Just curious what your...

    Trash haul!!!

Not sure, I need to test it first. I had one with my 7100/80 when I ran my recording studio in the late 90s. It has a couple spots of corrosion on it, and the 8100 logic board needs cleaning and recapping before it can be tested properly. I’ll probably keep it as I know how rare it is. Also...

    SE/30 double color displays

Here’s the link: you can daisy chain the Mac Con and Radius Pivot card in the IIsi because it has a right angle adapter. https://manualmachine.com/asantetechnologies/macconfamilyethernetnetworkcardsforthemacintosh/384548-user-manual/

    SE/30 double color displays

Yeah, those are for the addressing. If you’re running multiple cards you have to make sure they’re not conflicting. I have the MacCon, Radius card and Micron all on different addresses.

    SE/30 double color displays

I’m working on it. I figured out that the pin sensing on the Pivot card isn’t quite setup right. If you angle the DB15 to VGA adapter the right way then it works. Right now I’m focused on getting the internal gray scale working correctly.

Massive Vintage Apple Haul in Idaho

I have 4-5 500 series and I feel like the reason they don’t power up is because the solder on the power connector is flaky. Sometimes if you put pressure on the power connector, you’ll hear the power supply relay click and the machine will power up. Try that. If the connector is really flaky...
