Scaling an Open Source DIY 3D Scanner to computer case dimensions?

Most hobbyists use Fusion from Autodesk, Siemens Solidedge is more userfriendly -to my findings- but thats something personal. I believe there is also an Apple desktop version available. Just check! 🍀

Scaling an Open Source DIY 3D Scanner to computer case dimensions?

Scanning to 3D is very interresting. The result -output- of scanning is a pointcloud (asfar as I know) that needs to be converted to vectors…. Unless its organic shaped, you may better of to redraw it in 3D CAD. If you may not have such software, have a look at Solid Edge….👍🍀👍

    A takky Mac…..

    - Yesterday mgman suggested I would not be interrested in producing/selling parts…- As its a experimental-exploration project for now, with the end closing in 👍 This setup needs further dimensional & detail perfection. There is no timeline for this, but it should not be too long now. Just for...

WoW! @Trash80toG4 , Thats a whole lot of credits, much appreciated!……no need for envy. I am sure many here, and yourself have exceptional qualitys /craftsmanship. As for this project, its still a work in progress. My wish is that the frame fits all of the compact Mac series…not just the SE or...

    A takky Mac…..

@mg.man glad youre gonna give the SE/30boards a next chance 👍 Sure, 3D printing is an option for recreating a frame. Personally I am not in favor using abs/pla material as a choice for this purpose. As for (vac)forming a tubes glass, thats been done before. It also not something I wouldlike to...

Hey @mg.man Compliments appreciated! Apols not needed… I did get my CF -IDE adapter from Ebay years ago, and use it on my P200 board under DOS. Its very conveniant! 3 - SE/30 boards,… thats great for parts to a rebuild on a new board-PCB👍 Dont ewaste them! I am not aware of a queue, but if...

BlueBird-SD-Module: a boutique build for BlueSCSI in Blackbirds?

Yep, that's the type to be avoided due to its slip-out SD card feature. Mentioned reasons for avoidance upthread….. it has a decent locking system to the card: -See video below-

    PCI of a 6400 that is….?

    A takky Mac…..

That is interresting for sure on the basic 630 level. If at least I get the 630 into working order again……🌼 Then IDE boot can be compared with internal and external SCSI boot, aswell other speedtests? Tempotrio? PCI? Never seen that. 🍀

BlueBird-SD-Module: a boutique build for BlueSCSI in Blackbirds?

Hope the link works…. , its micro sd to sd. You have to select that extra while ordering. 🍀 (a longer extension may not be such a good idea, but you can try)

    A takky Mac…..

Well, there are a lot of connections. Its a similar sort of connector as with the color classic (may have different pinlayout though) Removing it is not my idea of funny. 🙈

BlueBird-SD-Module: a boutique build for BlueSCSI in Blackbirds?

Do you mean a kind of micro SD to SD extender? Last year I tried one on my Pi-retro game display. As I did order two from Ali, I was wondering if it would work with BS too…….(it does!) 🍀

    Compact Mac Caps List

No reply to my question yet. So I went with SMD model tantalums. These have about the same length as the original caps. Altough SMD gives a cleaner mount, I think that if the „wired“ version can do the job, recapping may be easier for the less trained (like me…) I feel working with SMD is...

    A takky Mac…..

The 630 board cleaned and recapped with tantalums. Actually it did surprise me that there where already quite a few small tantalums on the board. Only nine of the „old“ type condensors. Looking at the available spaces on the board. I suspect that when there was sufficiënt space, the Apple...
