Here's another mod, this time with transparent 3D printing filament as a light pipe: Originally these SNES Jr. (SNS-101) don't have an LED power indicator at all. This simple mod (with my own twist, the light pipe) tidies up what feels like a "missing" feature. For this console I also...

M0110 keyboard no input on 512k

If you have a logic analyzer or oscilloscope you can observe the central two pins — one is clock and the other is data. The data line will pulse high or low with the clock line. If you're seeing a clock and data then your keyboard is fine. Could be something on the Mac side. If you're seeing...

I'm just seeing this now — it's an incredible resource, thank you for sharing! Would you consider compiling the slides into a single Resource?

Apple eMate 300 Expansion Module (Open Source / Open Hardware Project)

Yup, looks like it's identical to the unit Colin from This Does Not Compute (YouTube) loaned me for my reversing (I have photos on my GitHub Repo for this project Front / Back).

Finally found why the N64 logic board - which I got a great deal on - wouldn’t start (no sound / video). two pads (AD6 & AD9) had a break directly where the trace meets the pad. A quick bodge (once you find it) and I’m playing GoldenEye!

Hakko Desoldering Gun — Power LED Mod

If you own a Hakko portable desoldering gun you may already know the single status LED doesn't show power status. Instead, it shows if the iron is up to target temperature and will turn off when the temperature is reached. This is an unusual choice, as it invites two immediately obvious safety...

    Worlds Smallest Hair Straighener!

Want to see the world's smallest hair straightener? Well... not quite, but it IS an ultra-compact and precise temperature controlled hair-clip. I know, I made a weird thing but the reason for making it has nothing to do with hair! See, there was a time when the idea of glueing important...

    HELP: USB SCSI adapter

After watching a popular youtuber's recent Patreon-only video, I was inspired to retry my Logic LUB-SC adapter which I purchased from Sendico on my birthday in 2021. I am pretty sure the drive I was testing it on was ID 0. My M1 Mac Mini recognized the USB device appropriately but didn't...

    Document repository?

There's an option under filtering to sort by Title (ascending). In this case, I'd say it's better to use the filter than to change the default sorting; I suspect most people would want to see newest first (default). Also, I didn't see an option to change the sorting for resources directories.

    TAM Bass Unit Dissection

I woke up one chilly morning in the middle of December, last year, to an eBay alert. There was a TAM bass unit available for less than $1000! I groggily reviewed the photos and made an impulse purchase after being "awake" for less than 3 minutes. I was in luck but certainly not in a traditional...
