    The macOS 9.2.2 iBook G4 and PowerBook G4! 😁

I actually just got your iBook's sibling/cousin/close friend, a PowerBook G4 12" 867MHz, and in fact just ordered the same PATA-mSATA enclosure! I assume I was out of luck for OS 9, but it sounds like it *might* work with a Mac OS 9 Lives image. So I'll see if I can get mine to work too!

    VCF Midwest September, 10-11 2022

I was there, had a great time! Picked up a PowerBook G4 12" while I was there. Really enjoyed watching the auction - I think the muddy NeXT Cube was my favorite :)

    A MacSE, MacTCP and RaSCSI

I *think* one of those DynaPort utilities will list the MAC address? If not then it looks like this has it: https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/ag-net-tools I'd recommend checking the DynaPort troubleshooting utilities to verify that it's detecting both the software and the hardware correctly.

    A MacSE, MacTCP and RaSCSI

I believe the RaSCSI DaynaPort disk image comes with troubleshooting utilities (https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/rascsi-reloaded) I would recommend reserving an IP address on the router's side and then using the IP address you pick there. When I tried this, I also (strangely) had success when...

Disk Jockey, a disk image file maker for your retro stuff - Beta for version 3!

Depending on what your long-term goals are for this project, it might be nice to host it on Github (or some other public repository). Even if you just want to work on it yourself, it might be an easier way to keep track of issues or feature requests. And if you're open to others collaborating...

[HELP WANTED] Keystrokes for 68k and PPC Macintosh Systems

Here's an existing resource that lists (as far as I know) every keystroke: https://devonhubner.org/Macintosh_Classic_Keyboard_Commands/ Many of them only work for certain platforms, and I've found the labelling isn't 100% accurate, but it'd be a good place to start if you're building a similar...

    A MacSE, MacTCP and RaSCSI

Does your Pi have WiFi? If so have you tried using the WiFi bridge mode?

    A MacSE, MacTCP and RaSCSI

I successfully got my SE online with the RaSCSI bridge before I upgraded it to an SE/30 board. What's the output of ifconfig on the Pi? Additionally, can you post a screenshot of how MacTCP is configured? This will tell us exactly what you have set up. Here's some information about how I had...

    Where can I buy 128MB SE/30 RAM?

I also bought 128MB from this seller, and can vouch that they arrived promptly and work (or at least, if there are any issues, I haven't found them yet!)

Corrupted HDD Image With Bad SCSI Cable

Okay, phew, it's been a bit of work, but I've figured it out and recovered the drive with no issues. Here's what I did: Installed UTM on my M1 Macbook Air Installed OS X Tiger on that from an image up on the Internet Archive Got that on my network to transfer files via FTP Sent the corrupt...

Corrupted HDD Image With Bad SCSI Cable

I finally got around to playing around with the image in CiderPress, and CiderPress happily opens the image, and the files appear to be fine. So I tried to copy all the files from that image to a fresh one, but that didn't seem to work. I think CiderPress doesn't like it if you try to copy over...

Corrupted HDD Image With Bad SCSI Cable

Oh is it? I just searched Amazon for "DB25 cable" and found it that way. Weird that it doesn't work then!

Corrupted HDD Image With Bad SCSI Cable

This is the one I bought: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JPDWNKY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Maybe it has to be actually designed for SCSI so that the signal doesn't get messed up? No idea, but when I was using it even my Rominator boot image gave me trouble, so...

Corrupted HDD Image With Bad SCSI Cable

I haven't tried Basilisk - I assumed that it would try (and fail) to mount in the same way, but I can give it a go. Do you know of a disk repair tool that would work for this? I could also try something like making a fresh image and copying over the files manually using something like...

Corrupted HDD Image With Bad SCSI Cable

Hey all, I've been using a RaSCSI with my SE/30, which worked great until I bought a cheap SCSI cable on Amazon and tried to use it. I apparently upset the SCSI gods and goddesses and now my main boot image won't load. When I try to mount it from another boot disk, it tells me the disk is...

    Where to Buy Prints

Thanks all, I actually found a local guy to get the print I needed. Unfortunately he passed away recently. I don't need any prints in the near future, but the organization he was a part of (The Bodgery) is generally very helpful with this sort of thing.

    SE/30 SCSI Issues

I'd try external SCSI next, like a blueSCSI etc that's known to be good. Hopefully that would narrow things down a bit for you. An alternate thing to try would be getting a Rominator and verifying that you can boot from the ROM's image.

    SE/30 SCSI Issues

Have you gotten it to boot on anything? If there are issues with both SCSI and floppy, it may be something else. On my SE sometimes it takes a few tries to read a floppy to boot from it. Have you tried both external and internal SCSI? Has the board been recapped?

Macintosh SE Won't Boot System 7

I haven't tried that, thanks! I'll give that a go and see if that helps.

Macintosh SE Won't Boot System 7

Thanks, but it wasn't an issue with the images or the SE - the BlueSCSI is the culprit and I've had no issues with the RaSCSI
