I just made my own. You don't need anything fancy honestly... this went into my Portable over the weekend for the first time and it works a treat. A sheet of PCB, two holes for the wires, and then I hacked the copper down the middle like a caveman! :)

Actually someone sent me some doco and I’ve got them apart. Should be an easy repair to the AC line. The logo rotates so you can mount them vertically as well.

Has anyone had experience with these Bose/Apple Roommate speakers? The guy I got them off said the power had been intentionally disconnected “internally” (110V input only and I’m in Australia with 240V) - but he didn’t know any more. It's detected as a 3-layer board for me, but a quick look at it and I can't see why it needs 3 layers...

You should be able to test those switches without removing them from the board. Sounds like a stuck switch from your description though, but a continuity test will confirm..
