There's no exact measure, as different plastics have different shades, but the interior of a Color Classic is CMYK 28%, 25%, 31%, 0%

OK Guys, I'll contact you privately, but seems we can save on shipping by at least $10 each. Expect a PM Soon.

Here are 3 pictures to show off how close this is to the Mac Platinum color. Keep in mind most of my macs do have some weathering. So Take that with a grain of salt but this does match fairly well for being so cheap... it is a little lighter In my opinion but I feel it matches well enough most will not notice.

For what it's worth, I was quite pleased with Makerbot Warm Grey (should it ever become available again) when I put together my Tiny Mac. (It seems more beige than gray as filament, though more gray than beige as an object.)

On its' own, it seems a good match with the M0100 Mouse (refitted for Bluetooth) that sits near it on my desk (though I recall when printing out a part for the mouse, it did seem a bit dark in comparison).

Cool, it's a matter of personal taste. My opinion is that the PLA needs to be as close to the original to recreate or replace parts and don't show a contrasting difference. The ColorFabb Filament provides that exact match that can be used to replace broken pr improved parts. On my platinum Color classic, both the backplate and the front plates blend completely. There's no discernible change until you look close and see the filament lines.

I should have the ColorFabb Filament on the way, as well as the Amazon Basics Light Gray. I will print two backplates for my Color Classic (Mystic) and show what they look like side by side with the CC.

Hi folks. I just got to this thread today.

Thanks Joe for the updates on the 1st post.

I’m in South America, so shipping will always be expensive! I’m definitely into for a couple of spools but I’m not sure yet where to buy from.

If you want the best color match, the ColorFABB RAL 7044 filament is nearly spot-on. Right now, there's no alternative that we've found.

Sorry for the delay, been traveling and busy with other things. Anyway, here is a comparison of the two different PLAs. Comparing the colorFabb PLA, ordered as part of the group buy here, vs. the light gray Amazon Basics PLA (next to a retro-brighted SE/30 case). The lighter color is the Amazon Basics, the darker, closer match is obviously the colorFabb. I'm glad I have both. I'll save the colorFabb for more visible, important prints.

Here’s my first use of the Color Fabb: Replacement feet for Apple Keyboard II.
First pic shows printed vs. original. I am very pleased with results! The keyboard itself was restored and plastic case and keys brought back to original color using H202 cream and several days of sunshine.

Hi! I am wondering if anyone has a roll of the ColorFABB RAL 7044 filament? A friend of mine wants to print a SE/30 case and will run Pi , LCD, etc. :)

I recently opened and used part of my last unopened roll. Oh noes! If we can garner enough interest, we can do another group buy. It doesn't save you a whole bunch, but it's usually cheaper than buying a single roll yourself.
