Yeah I could do thatAwesome! Could you print some and photo next to a platinum Mac?
I should have the ColorFabb Filament on the way, as well as the Amazon Basics Light Gray. I will print two backplates for my Color Classic (Mystic) and show what they look like side by side with the CC.Cool, it's a matter of personal taste. My opinion is that the PLA needs to be as close to the original to recreate or replace parts and don't show a contrasting difference. The ColorFabb Filament provides that exact match that can be used to replace broken pr improved parts. On my platinum Color classic, both the backplate and the front plates blend completely. There's no discernible change until you look close and see the filament lines.
The Filaments have arrived! I will be contacting the participants privately to arrange payment and shipping.
If you want the best color match, the ColorFABB RAL 7044 filament is nearly spot-on. Right now, there's no alternative that we've found.Hi folks. I just got to this thread today.
Thanks Joe for the updates on the 1st post.
I’m in South America, so shipping will always be expensive! I’m definitely into for a couple of spools but I’m not sure yet where to buy from.
I recently opened and used part of my last unopened roll. Oh noes! If we can garner enough interest, we can do another group buy. It doesn't save you a whole bunch, but it's usually cheaper than buying a single roll yourself.Hi! I am wondering if anyone has a roll of the ColorFABB RAL 7044 filament? A friend of mine wants to print a SE/30 case and will run Pi , LCD, etc.
